I finally got around to making the blog look decent, and I like it! I hope everyone who had been here in the past will enjoy the changes, and I am aiming to be better about blogging. Will it be every day? Certainly not. Will I aim for a few times a week given that no one in my house is suffering from some plague or virus of doom? Yes, that’s my goal.
The new year has not been as kind to my household as I would like. I got something that I will only describe as Norovirus minus the puking (being nauseated the day before it hit full force meant that I was spared that nasty side effect). David and the girls have also been under the weather. Lots of sneezing, coughing, and an entire box of Kleenex has been demolished in the span of a week. Everyone has to be feeling better by February 6th though, no excuses.
My parents are coming back for a visit! Okay, so it largely has to do with getting paperwork for my mother that I was not able to obtain for her, but they’re coming back! Yeah, only for a week, and yes they will have a lot going on, but they’re coming back! The girls are thrilled. I have full intentions of making my parents go out to dinner with the girls, and then David and I can sneak off for a date night. I’m pretty sure Nola could use the time with Grandma and Grandpa considering how devastated she was the day they left. Sophia didn’t really get it I don’t think, and I’m not sure it really even sank in when she saw Nola and I bawling. She may have cried because we were crying, but she is not unlike her Daddy I suspect. While her exterior demeanor remained calmer than those around her, her insides were emotional mush.
This just helps the girls understand that while they will not see Grandma and Grandpa as much, they will come back from time to time.
Anyhow, now that the blog looks a bit more polished I believe my first Pinterest inspired post will be up in the next few days. Tomorrow I have to finalize my Girl Scout meeting plans, and take care of a few other troop business issues. Yep, that’s another hat I’m wearing now, Girl Scout Troop leader, so expect posts about that too! 😉
